Peanut Butter Noodles with Garlic and Chilli


I like these simple peanut butter ramen noodles for a 5 minute dinner! Take that packet of instantaneous noodles, throw away the flavour sachet and make your individual lipsmackingly scrumptious broth.

Solely a few minutes prep, then 3 minutes to cook dinner!

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • Place the noodles in a microwavable bowl.

    85 g (3oz) pack instantaneous ramen noodles

  • Add the sesame oil, white pepper, chilli flakes, garlic, crumbled inventory dice and peanut butter on high.

    1 teaspoon sesame oil, 1 pinch white pepper, ¼ teaspoon chilli flakes (pink pepper flakes), 1 clove garlic, 1 hen or vegetable inventory dice, 1 tablespoon easy peanut butter

  • Pour the boiling water over the noodles and flavourings.

    240 ml (1 cup) scorching water

  • Flip the noodle cake over 3 instances, to moist the noodles absolutely and blend into the flavours.

  • Place within the microwave and microwave on excessive for 1 minute 30 seconds.

  • Fastidiously take away from the microwave. Sprinkle over the sliced spring onions and stir or toss the noodles.

Need to use a pan as an alternative?

  1. Place the noodles in a small saucepan.
  2. Add the sesame oil, white pepper, chilli flakes, garlic, crumbled inventory dice and peanut butter on high.
  3. Pour the boiling water over the noodles and flavourings.
    Flip the noodle cake over 3 instances, to moist the noodles absolutely and blend into the flavours.
  4. Warmth over a medium-high warmth, till the liquid begins to boil, then flip all the way down to a simmer. Simmer for 1 minute 30 seconds.
  5. Stir the noodles, then sprinkle over the sliced spring onions and stir once more.
  6. Simmer for an extra 1 minute 30 seconds – 2 minutes, till the noodles are tender. You’ll be able to add an additional splash of water if the noodles begin to look too dry.
  7. Stir collectively then switch to a serving bowl. Sprinkle with spring onions, chilli flakes and sesame seeds earlier than serving.

Flavour swaps:

  • Swap the peanut butter for almond butter
  • Swap the spring onions (scallions) for contemporary coriander / cilantro
  • Swap the ramen noodles for high-quality egg noodles, rice noodles or soba noodles (add an additional 60ml (¼ cup) water and cook dinner for an additional 1-2 minutes for soba noodles
