The Legacy Collection charts the primary decade of the distillery which started working in 2017.
“Torabhaig Allt Gleann Batch Power is our manner of bidding a fond farewell to Allt Gleann and shutting out this chapter of Torabhaig’s journey to 10 12 months previous,” stated Torabhaig whiskymaker, Neil Macleod Mathieson.
“That is the final time we’ll get to see this particular model of Torabhaig, so we put aside a couple of hundred casks of this expression distilled in the course of the experimental phases of 2017 and 2018 to launch at its pure power.
“As with Allt Gleann, we’re clear on the bottle about the whole lot, from the number of barley to the kind of yeast to residual ppm – and never simply in grain ppm. We wish to take whisky lovers on this journey of experimentation with us and are assured about sharing our findings about flavour as we’re constructing this liquid legacy.”
Allt Gleann has been matured for 60+ months in American oak, each first fill bourbon barrels and re-fill whisky barrels, and follows the distillery’s rising model of manufacturing liquids with effectively tempered peat character.
The discharge is proscribed to 50,000 bottles globally with an rrp of £75 (€85/$89.99 USD).
